Check out SHEEP High School Musical Theatre's mannequin challenge video!
We are finishing out the first semester of rehearsals with the SHEEP Christmas Show on December 1st. Each class has been working on an ensemble number to perform as a "sneak peak" to our spring performances of "Peter Pan, Jr." and "The Music Man." We are excited to show you a snippet of the hard work the students have been giving the past few months! This school year, SHEEP Musical Theatre will consist of over 100 homeschooled students acting, dancing, and singing their hearts out in "Peter Pan, Jr." and "The Music Man." One of our favorite parts of the year happens at the very beginning, when all of the students audition for us. It is exciting to see the preparation, talent, and enthusiasm each one brings!
Both shows this year have some fun, iconic lead roles... but one of the best parts about "Peter Pan, Jr." and "The Music Man" are the fun ensemble roles! Kids will have a blast in the ensemble in groups like the fairies, Pick-a-Little Ladies, pirates, and dancers of the Shipoopi. The students in the ensemble groups are the heart of the show and carry the performance just as much as any lead! What would we do without you?? Though excellent auditions always make casting difficult (in a good way!), the cast lists are finally out for both classes and it's time to start rehearsal. Let's start Year 7! We are pleased to announce that the 2017 SHEEP High School Musical Theatre production will be...
The Music Man! Cue fanfare! We love this all-American show and can't wait to put it on! The Junior classes will be performing Disney's "Peter Pan Jr." under the direction of Jensen the Magnificent. All in all, we have a great year ahead of us. Classes don't start until the beginning of September, but we are already doing prep work for the 2016-2017 school year... purchasing licenses, beginning work on set and costume design concepts, and planning our Audition Workshops. The new school year will be here before we know it! We like making our audiences happy! So proud of the fantastic students whose hard work and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable show and produced comments like these:
"Mary Poppins" opened with its afternoon matinee show yesterday! There are still two more chances to see our high schoolers perform this heartwarming, magical musical: tonight (May 17) at 6:30pm and Wednesday May 18 at 6:30pm.
